We will chat with a few of the Ottawa music scene's mountain men! Or are they Valley boys? Call them what you like, they've been making music in our area for years even decades!
First up: The Life-Size Men are set to drop their new album, Happy Tuesday. You may know Jeb Bond from Evil Farm Children fame. He's grown up now into a life-size man. Just to keep the testosterone at a moderate level, LSM are proudly teaming up with Catriona Sturton, who so expertly wields a harmonica and very cool green electric guitar, sometimes simultaneously. The Men and Catriona will be joining me live in studio at 5 pm Friday before their show at Irene's on Saturday.
From the Valley just outside Ottawa, we have the prolific, Brock Zeman. He also has a brand new disc, Pulling Your Sword Out of The Devil's Back. Wow that sounds grim!! I think it's his 13th album! Coincidence? Singer-songwriter-producer-record label exec - the man never sleeps! He is showcasing the new disc along with his vast repertoire at the House of Targ on Saturday.
