We will be dishing out pure good old fashion rock and roll for you tonight.

Gloryhound: We
've never heard such grinding rock and punk emanating from Nova Scotia. The boys are in Ottawa opening for The Headstones tonight and tomorrow at Maverick's. They are expected to join us live in studio (weather permitting).

Riishi Von Rex
More than just Janis Joplin reincarnate, Ottawa's own Riishi can whip guitar strings into submission like no other. You have to see and hear to believe.  She'll be in studio with us tonight. Then has a gig with Lucas Haneman @ Lunenberg Pub, tomorrow at 9 p.m.

Set your volume button to 11 and tune in at 5 pm on CHUO 89.1 FM in Ottawa or online at www.CHUO.fm

Adieu to Two Hours Traffic

It's a given, quitting while you're on top of your game is always the most favorable scenario. Yet, if you are at the zenith of your career, why quit? It's one of those chicken and egg questions.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but everyone's favorite East Coast band, Two Hours Traffic, who have won the hearts of an ever increasing number of fans over the last decade have decided to pull over, park it, and call it coda. With four great albums under their belts, many awards, including a short-list nomination for the Polaris Music Prize, they have now embarked on their Farewell Tour.

Let me support you through the stages of grief: denial, anger, and finally much dancing and celebration when they return to Ottawa for the final time on December 14 at Zaphod’s for what promises to be a very special show.

I will chat with the band, seek answers for you and reminisce on their travails over the past ten years, on and off the road. Tune in to 89.1 FM in Ottawa this Friday at 5 pm or listen on-line at www.CHUO.fm.
