Canadian psychedelic folk rock collective, Deep Dark Woods are in the area this weekend showcasing their new disc, Jubilee (six shooter records). With a new addition to the band, guitarist Clayton Linthicum, the band took to the woods in a cabin in the Alberta wilderness to create this hypnotic, ecclectic, modern folk epic. Eight years since their inception and 5 albums in, they have honed their signature brand of alt-country.
We will be chatting with the band tonight at 5 pm and they will be rocking 2 stages here over the weekend: a sold out show at Neat Cafe in Almonte tonight and then tomorrow night at Ritual in Ottawa.
