Winter into spring into winter again. I've never lost a bet about one-last-snow-storm in April. Someday this insight will make me rich. To help take your mind off the weather, we've got good tunes and compelling conversations queued up for you on today's show.

Lioness: Performing at Cafe Dekcuf on Monday (April 30)
The band's lead singer, Vanessa, also moonlights as the band's costume designer for their live shows and has built the life-size lion head on the cover of their debut album, The Golden Killer. Expect dance, synth, indie rock.

Cousins: Performing at the Mercury Lounge on Wednesday (May 02)
Now we're getting into garage power rock as Cousins drop their new sophomore album, The Palm at the End of the Mind.

As usual, we'll have more spins featuring bands coming through Ottawa this week.  Tune in at 5 pm on 89.1 FM in Ottawa or on-line at www.CHUO.fm

Darrelle London:  Toronto-based piano-pop songstress has released a new disc, Eat A Peach. Dynamic and powerful while innately personal, it was produced by Canadian legend Chantal Kreviazuk.

Lefty McRighty: AKA Greg Harris. Ottawa's very own new-old-school / neo-retro / bacon- country impresario (musician and promoter) is dropping a brand new disc called, Nashville Roadkille.

Ana Miura: Ottawa's favorite folksy lady! She is performing April 28 at the inaugural edition of the Ottawa Grassroots Festival. She'll tell us all we need to know about this burgeoning new event.
